The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models which makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It is very efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot.  auto vacuum  rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and performs well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home, identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and effectively. This results in an efficient, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surface areas. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the smell.

Another feature worth mentioning is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home.  best budget robot vacuum  can also deactivate the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to remember that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.

auto vacuum cleaner  has a high Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. This includes an energy button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning session. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to protect certain areas of your home from being swept with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect many of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots have struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were nice jingles to signal that it was in the process of getting its work done.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the requirement to switch out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a hassle if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it also has unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as an 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognising objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome appearance in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
